Last year, after Steak and I had officially moved into our Arlington apartment together, I got a frantic call from my father. My dad has a co-worker who lives in Virginia when she's not working on the Alaskan slope. She and another co-worker of my father's were in town to participate in the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure and wanted me to join them. I registered a few days prior to the event and hesitantly ventured to the Mall in DC in the early hours of the morning.
I ended up having a wonderful time, participating in such a huge and uplifting event. I had such a great time last year that I'm going to go again and this time take Steak with me and actually run the race. I'm so excited to see my dad's co-worker again and celebrate post-race at her house.
But this year the race will mean much more to me than it did a year ago. I will be thinking of you the entire time KG. I love you!
couldn't figure out how to post a comment the first time around!!! I love you as well!!! Good luck at the race, and I'll be right beside you in Jacksonville! Love you lots!! Enjoy your blog!! Aunt Kristin
