Beach Get-Away

As I mentioned in my last post, Steak and I ventured out to the beach on Sunday for post-anniversary fun. We went with two of our Illinois friends, the gorgeous KS and BS (no, not married... yet).

We stopped an hour into our drive at Annapolis, MD for breakfast at Pusser's (yea, I know what you're thinking). It was wonderful! We sat right on the waterfront and watched the boats go by, while we enjoyed great breakfast food. I tried crunchy french toast for the first time, which was toast dipped in egg whites and then dipped in corn flakes.

After breakfast we got back into the car and drove through town. Unfortunately, we were met with a bad accident when we got back on the highway, which delayed our journey by 45 minutes. It was especially scary because I was driving and I don't drive hardly at all!

Here I am driving for the first time in a VERY long time. I drove us all the way to Ocean City!

A few hours later we made it to Ocean City, MD and had one of the most relaxing days I've had all summer. I'm so happy we ended up going (I was hesitant, because it felt like a tight squeeze in our busy summer schedule). I really needed a beach day!

We enjoyed the boardwalk, clean facilities and glorious sandy beaches of this cute Maryland town. It was the ultimate day trip and I hope to go again before the summer comes to an end!

Steak and I would love to hear from you! Are you going to the beach this summer? What's your ideal vacation?

  1. I am enjoying your blog. My husband and I are moving to DC on the 31st, and I have enjoyed reading about your adventures in food, commuting, and fashion!

  2. Oh how exciting! Thanks so much for posting! I look forward to reading through your blog tomorrow! Keep in touch while you make your big move! Good luck with the job search. DC's a great city! I'm sure you'll find something soon. Let me know if you need anything during your transition. :)

  3. Cute pictures!

I spent a few weeks at the beach so far this summer and it was heavenly!

  4. Awww so fun!

I miss the beach so much! Not sure when we'll be able to go this summer.. We thought we would go in Florida over 4th of July weekend, but then it rained the entire trip :(

  5. It looks like such a fun trip! I love the pictures of you and your husband at the beach. I was at the beach last weekend too! Glad you had a great trip.

  6. Thanks Nikki, Annie & Valerie! I'm glad you all have gotten to the beach this year. Sorry it rained on you, Annie. :(

Oh and Steak and I aren't married. ;) We just play house.
