Working on my fitness

Now that Steak and I have settled in at home post travel-crazed summer, we have to get serious about our race training. Last spring after we finished our 10 mile race, we felt on top of the world and immediately signed up for a 1/2 marathon! Yes, every other day I ask myself, "what were we thinking?" 

On October 2nd we will be participating in Walt Disney World's first annual Wine and Dine Half Marathon! It is a 10 p.m. race that takes us through Animal Kingdom, Hollywood Studios and Epcot. We finish in Epcot's World Showcase where we will be treated to food and drinks from the various country pavilions. 
  
Now that we're focusing on our fitness, I've been very conscious about what I'm eating. And I just signed up on myfitnesspal.com. It is an amazing website where you can track your calories and workouts without much effort. I can't recommend it enough! It takes all the guess work out of calorie counting.

  1. Kathleen and I almost signed up for that race. We decided on the Army 10 miler instead with Kaitlin and another friend. Weirdly enough though, we'll be at DisneyWorld the weekend of the half marathon. Good luck!

  5. I found out about the Disney Wine & Dine race too late!! I signed up for the WDW Half Marathon in January and am not excited at all about the 4am wake up call. Wish I was doing the W&D one at 10pm. Good luck! xo
