Grilled Cheese and Sunset

Last night I made my ultimate comfort food, grilled cheese, with a twist!

I brushed two slices of Organic Tuscan bread from Whole Foods with extra virgin olive oil. Then spread peach jam on the other side of one slice. I piled thinly sliced pears on top of the jam and then topped that with Gruyere cheese and the other slice of bread. Yum!

We paired this sandwich with roasted red pepper tomato soup.

The weather was so beautiful and serene last night that Steak and I ate outside on our balcony and watched the sunset. Perfect evening!

Check out my new dress from the Banana Republic outlet.

Happy Wednesday! We wish you happiness.

  1. Yay! So glad you posted this. I'm putting these ingredients on my grocery list for next week.

  3. Yummmm!! Such a good pairing with the red pepper tomato soup. I love unique grill cheeses so much!! Sounds like a perfect night :)

  4. Yum!!!! I love your recipe and the pictures are amazing! Sounds perfect!!

  5. This looks absolutely scrumptious! Gruyere is my favorite and I am lucky enough to have family who lives in the Gruyere region in Switzerland so we get fresh cheese sent every Christmas!

I've honestly not been to the grocery store in weeks (lots of travel!) but next time I do find myself perusing the grocery aisles i'll have to think of how to put a more sophisticated twist on comfort favorites!
