I love going to watch the Nationals play mostly because I love eating stadium food, hot dogs and cotton candy in particular. Well, the culinary geniuses behind Matchbox and Ted's Bulletin (you know the place with the homemade poptarts) created a place with my stadium food obsession in mind. Barracks Row now has a specialty hot dog shop, DC-3, and me and Steak went to try it out this past Sunday!
The menu is designed like a vintage plane ticket.
I knew from the beginning that I would be ordering the Chicago 7 dog with the frips (a cross between a chip and a fry) on the side.
Steak ordered the West Virginia Sauce and Slaw Dawg as an appetizer. He had to try the Chef Jacoby's I-talian Beef Sammy because this was the first time he's seen Italian beef on a menu in DC.
At the end of our meal I went back to grab a grape-flavored cotton candy to take on our shopping adventure in Eastern Market.
And the shopping excursion was successful. I found these great peacock feather earrings for 5 bucks!
