Last night Steak and I had the privilege to attend the Grand Opening of Sweetgreen in Ballston. (Thanks Kate!) We were interested to find out that the restaurant chain was first opened by young alumni of Georgetown University. I've frequented their branch in Dupont in the past and have made one quick stop in their small Georgetown location.
It was wonderful to try some of their more exotic offerings yesterday evening. We had watermelon radishes, kale salad and chick pea falafel. Everything I had was wonderful, but the kale salad was by far the best thanks to the dried cranberries and what I believe were sunflower seeds.
