I had a very nice weekend. I visited my wonderful hairdresser, Patti, after work on Friday and then Steak picked me up to head further into the city to a house party our friends T & T were hosting. On Saturday we ran 3 miles in the cold rain around our neighborhood, went to our weekly pilates reformer class in Shirlington and then Steak dropped me off at Liberty Tavern to visit and have lunch with four of my friends (one of them in town from law school in Boston). Then I did some major shopping damage at South Moon Under and picked up some ingredients at Whole Foods. When I got home I made the Garbanzo Bean Soup I made on Thursday night for a potluck. I headed to my girlfriend L's apartment in Rosslyn and had a wonderful potluck dinner with my sorority family, including sister CJ. Sunday morning we ran for 10 miles! We made it all the way to the Capitol and then headed back to Arlington. We then headed back into the city to use our Groupon to the Newseum. Steak and I had a wonderful trip to the museum and then he treated me to Tangy Sweet! We trekked back to Arlington, but stopped in Clarendon to grab dinner at the newest restaurant in town, Circa. After a wonderful dinner, where Steak treated me again, we headed home to catch the rest of the Superbowl commercials and get geared up for our last 5 days in DC before vacation!
I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend as well! Check out some of me and Steak's pictures from our 10 mile run on Sunday.
